I recently had some people install some subs into my 2017 ecoboost, but everytime I press on the gas the installed subs emit an extremely loud artificial engine roar (I figured this is what the speed comp. option controls). I put the speed comp volume down to 0, but the problem continues to persist. I'm going to bring it back to the shop tomorrow to get it checked on but wanted to see if I could fix it myself. Any solutions?

There's probably more information on the fake engine noise that the EB has, but a quick use of the forums search feature lead me to page 3 of this thread.

forums/showthread.php?t=14623&highlight=engine+noise+fuse&page=3

Looks like fuse 27 and some microphone in the rear, and the fake engine noise will go away.

Unplug the noise cancelling microphone in the headliner above the rear seat. Should get rid of that noise.
