Hahaha wow... What a mess this is.
Yeh they are planning to follow up this 'really peculiar scenario' I'll update when I hear from them. Good news is that my name and details is in their system!

I'll see what happens tomorrow, as my dealer is meant to call me.

I don't have an official vin no. but I have a dealer order no. and a Ford US contract no.
The yanks can get their vin nos in advance of the car being assembled because it is being assembled in the buyers country of residence.
Our vin no. must come from the NZ authorities (and probably the same for OZ)
The salesman this morning got into the Ford vista system for me and I have a build date of Sept 1st
Look forward to your updates and feeling like an expectant father now

So either way Vista has current build date information for the first couple of months of the Mustang.

Just received a call from my new salesman, been with the company for 4 days and has come from Honda. Admittedly knows zero about the mustang :frusty:

I know, that would be a great addition, also the 2016 configurator on Ford US shows that you could have a spare as an option, will we get that?

Yeap, no option for the spare either lol...

I don't see how giving the option for Recaro's is a hard thing to do, especially since the heated/cooled seats don't seem to be working properly by the looks of things.

No idea to be honest. I have given up speculating as it could be something as simple as someone in Ford au decided they wouldnt sell well as the age group is deemed to be 40+ or something like that.

Far too expensive to even bother fitting aftermarket. Gotta remember this is a 60k car. I saw they are 4-5k option via herrod i think.

My thoughts are that perhaps they were sounding the market by offering no options given that traditionally large coupes aren't big sellers in this country.

I wouldn't be surprised if future models have the Shaker and Recaro options as well.

I just find it frustrating that other markets like the UK get the NCO for different seat colours - if it's a NCO, why in the world would this be omitted?

Is it really that hard to bug Ford US to put down a trim choice??? It'd add so much to the market, with some nice colour combos.

Also, has anybody been able to confirm the larger radiator for the Oz market yet? I can't see this anywhere, but it's standard EUR so you'd think it'd be standard here.

I received an email from Ford today stating that I will be hearing more news now about my DIB fastback GT, I think these emails were sent out a few weeks ago to some members.

I just got mine too, I think they must be coming out around a month or so before the cars enter build.
