I am having colour regret already!

Ordered race red and was tossing up white.. magnetic and even orange..

Then i find out race red was the most ordered colour..

DOH
would it be too late to change considering there's no VIN or any production date etc?

Congrats man

Hope I'm next! :headbonk:

Was it an e-mail or physical mail?
It was an email.

I know there have been other VIN assigned to Australian cars so it's just a matter of asking your dealer for it. I started asking about 2 weeks ago.

nobody seems to know. I asked my dealer who said ford au couldnt tell them and they would be carefull as i might lose my spot if i change without confirmation.

If anyone can confirm it would be good!

Ah cool... good to know.

I was always set on black for sure. Always wanted a triple black Mustang with a deep exhaust :D

BUT... I would have gone OJ if the shade looked like this:

Got a call back. Mine's on track for November apparently.

One of the sales guys told me the manager will give me a call
back next week with more specific details. I'll accept that

Segmentation date means the date of build in Ford terms.

If you're on the east coast the average shipping time is 60-65 days, so that ties in with your delivery date.

As to changes in colour and spec, you'll need to talk to your dealers about that - but if they have an order number from Ford US you can't change anything.

Went in to my dealer on Saturday, every single staff member is new including the dealer principal. They have absolutely zero idea about the Mustang and my sale is now handed by a bushy tailed 18 year old who wouldn't know a drive-train from a tail-shaft. Will be calling Ford AU head office this morning.

The new sales manager is fresh from Honda and thought I was talking about the Shelby.....the mind boggles

It seems to me the turnaround (if that's the right word) for sales staff in car dealerships is extremely high. My salesman got canned too.

Currently on the phone to Ford Customer Service, apparently VIN numbers haven't been assigned and should never have been sent out because Ford doesn't know :tsk:
