Aussie Number Plates

Anyone still looking for a plate combo in NSW I have both of these on hold - couldn't decide so bought both and then ended up moving interstate before the car arrived anyway :doh:

Had my plates at the RTA for a couple of months and paid $16 to get them out. I think you pay the yearly 'rental' fee (apportioned) from the day you put them in storage rather than when you get them out again. So no real dramas.

In NSW, Service NSW sends you a letter saying the plates are ready for collection. You either have to pick up the plates within 28 days or pay to have them stored at the Motor Registry.

You can only pick up the plates if you have your registration certificate.

My plates were in storage for almost a year and I paid $494.

Once the car arrived I either had to collect the plates myself but as the car hadn't been registered I gave the dealer a letter authorising him to collect them.
