Had my plates at the RTA for a couple of months and paid $16 to get them out. I think you pay the yearly 'rental' fee (apportioned) from the day you put them in storage rather than when you get them out again. So no real dramas.

Check post #3 of this thread for silver letters on black plate, and I posted a pic in the owners photos thread yesterday of the back. Gives you some idea of the black plate on magnetic

Bought the silver on black replacement plates and front/back Lakins to replace the crappy stock plastic holders.

I didn't mind them at first but now seeing all the pictures with Lakins - now I can't that stock rubbish! Time seems to be flying by so the 3 week wait for the plates shouldn't be too painful. Thanks everyone who posted pics.
