Are exhausts shops (generally) happy to dispose of your stock exhaust once they fit your new one? (Assuming that you don't wish to keep it).

Still undecided whether I need to be carting that monstrosity back home or not.
Hi Drew,
My advice, keep it. Hang off the rafters out of the way. If the times comes you want to sell and need a Road worthy cert, you may need the system. It does not mean you have to refit it, but having it means a lot. I had the same issue years ago and the mechanic asked me if I still had the original exhaust, once he was satisfied and I proved I had it I got my RWC.

Something to chew on.

That sounds so good OZDAZ5.0 I really want something that gives a nice deep V8 note and that sounds perfect!
I did a longer version today with some spirited drive offs. I'll post up tomorrow but so far I'm still really happy with my choice.

Agree with this, always keep your stock parts. You'll probably never need them but you might. I had to refit my stock exhaust and air box to one of my cars when I got an EPA inspection notice many moons ago. That car was pretty damn loud LOL but it sounded awesome. My neighbours may not have thought so though and being a bit (OK a lot) older now I probably wouldn't think so either now.

Just editing for Youtube now buddy....listen to it with Headphones or good speakers though it doesn't sound great through the phone...Even with good headphones it sounds much better in person.

Sounds great Daz, like a quieter, deeper version of the Roush (makes sense)

I put the borla atak with black tips on my TY. Was easy install with rear on ramps. Loud and aggressive but able to stay quite when cruising 80/100 nice crackle & pop when changing down gear. May be a little much if everyday drive in traffic but as its my weekend toy i couldn't be happier
