I've just had the Borla S Type cat back fitted and I was shocked how deep it sounded, wasn't expecting it as everyone said it was too raspy.
Did you go the 2.5" or 3" system?

I'm another one torn between the Corsa Sports and Borla Sports after finding out how much the quad tip Ford Racing Sports will cost landed here.

The best price I could find was through a Sponsor of the forums. For the cat back quad tip exhaust, rear valance, diffuser panel and shipping came in just under $4500 once converted to AUD. Then you still need to add the import duty and GST, pretty hard to justify 5k for a cat back even taking into consideration the improved look.

I have been given a lead for an Australian Distributor but I don't think it will be much cheaper as the only place they can maybe save us some dollars will be on the shipping.

The Roush alternative doesn't really do anything for me but they are cheapest option if your dead set wanting quad tips.

Might be a mod I will look at again if the dollar ever comes close to parity but I feel I will be waiting an awful long time.

So my question to those who already have any of those installed - how do you like it? Would you recommend it? How does it match up against my search criteria? And where did you order it from?

Also, there's a question on black vs chrome tips, what did you go with and how's cleaning of them?
Knaps, our Street system sounds like it would fit your criteria perfectly! Its conservative volume is perfect for daily driving, and meets the AU db limit (same as ours here in California), so you wont attract any unwanted attention from the law. You can expect the tone to be a deep, refined growl, just how a muscle car should sound, in our opinion. The huge improvement in tone, without the drone and obnoxious volume has made the Street Catback a big hit with the mustang community!

2.5, I've heard the Ford Racing Sport and Borla S Type and the S Type seems just a tad deeper than the Ford Racing Sport, it's hard as I really haven't heard the S Type from outside my car other than start ups but from the inside it sounds deep enough and not that raspy, to be honest I think they're all raspy when you floor it tho, I think the Corsa Sport might be deeper still going by the videos and what others have said. As for cost mine was from CJPony and came in at ÂŁ1400 with customs charges but remember i'm UK based.

So if you wanted to go the full exhaust (engine back) with headers if it was available the price would be huge.

Not that I know of. The Ford Racing is made by Borla. And RTR I believe is Magnaflow. That's the extent of my inter-brand knowledge lol, I'm not sure who Steeda use for their exhausts, or if they just make their own

Read in the Borla website today they supply Steeda - hence the question.

I'm so friggin confused with which exhaust to get.

Want a deep sound with no tinny influences.

Agree, Borla Touring or Corsa Sport, but saying all this don't be scared off after watching videos thinking everything else is to tinny/raspy as the videos don't sound anything like the real thing, I was getting worried after I brought the Borla S Type that it would be to raspy but having had it fitted to my car I think it's fine.

You would have to get headers from an aussie based company that makes them (Hurricane, Street Fighter, xForce) and marry them up to that exhaust. Add the headers, tune and a CAI while your at it and it's stupid money for what you get. Money could be better spent on a full system from a local company or upgrade suspension and wheels.

Those with the Corsa Sports, does it crackle/pop? Havent found any videos of it yet that does. Borla tips aren't the best looking either but I'm still swaying towards the Borla 3"
