Have you been able to hear the Corsa Extreme or Sport in person? 304 stainless, hand built systems. Can't really get better quality than these systems. We run Corsa in all our vehicles as well and, is no where near the cost you mentioned. Give us a shout if you have any questions to include pricing, we've sold plenty of Corsa systems your way!

Any idea what the Hurricane is worth? Do they sell direct or have to go through a dealer?

DiFillipo make great exhaust systems, a lot better than what you were talking about

I have finally decided on my system. Moved away from the cat back.

Have decided on the Roush axle back with twin pipes, as opposed to the quad pipes. They are on backorder so should be here when my vehicle arrives in Oz.

Hurricanes are stainless not mild steel. They do a full system with ceramic coated headers too. I got a quote the other day.

I have just had the resonator replaced with straight through pipes and H connecting pipe on my 5.0 Conv (so I'm not sure a coupe would be exactly the same, but should be similar from inside and same outside).

Physically, change was less than most systems and cost was as well. All up was less than $500 incl. pipes.

In terms of sound, the difference is very satisfying and exactly what I wanted. It grumbles a little more at idle and it has a similar sound, but deeper edge through the rev range until near the top when it gets a howl (that is not OTT, but sounds great), when warm it also crackles a little on over-run (definitely there, but not that often and muted).

From inside, when driving I certainly know it is a little louder as you open the throttle, particularly with the roof up but I don't feel there is any additional drone (particularly with the roof down!). Passengers who have not been in it before just say it sounds great, comments such as "quiet" when just tootling along at 60-70 and then "awesome" when you open it up.

Obviously I am very happy with it, not OTT but definitely has an edge that the std system did not (and so I was not happy with). I'd recommend if you want a similar outcome and don't want to pay for an axle back system or similar. In short, it's subtle but has muscle and is just that little bit more than std.

One of the guys on here has just got one installed. The word is no drone ;-)

This is very likely the system I'm going with but as my car is still 3 to 4 months away I am sure I will agonise and stress about it a lot more.

its hard to beat that value for money.

Yeah do agree it's a great solution but I do want the headers and high flow cats.
