The dB rating on the ARH catback is lower than my old GReddy Titanium catback (above the limit). Road blocks etc were never an issue over 7 years. Just as long as you're driving sensibly and not hooning it around like an 8 year old on meth.

Based on my experience above I reckon you're right Melbnut, not that my enthusiasm to modify the exhaust first thing will be quelled of course. My '01 Stang's louder than that yellow one which was doing the rounds last year and I want my new one at least as loud as my '01 version.

Never had any issues with a full KPM system on my SS in Sydney, despite being "randomly" drug searched a couple times. That system was well over the limit.

Of course I'm just one example, they may be stricter in other areas. Very light throttle is your friend around police cars

Sydney generally seems fine to me. Even in terms of tint. Have two clients with tint thats definitely lower than 20%, never been fined even through numerous roadblocks.

it would be good to get a dB reading of the stock exhaust, even just a phone app one for a reference point to compare aftermarket exhausts

for example Corsa reckon the sport catback is 15 db over stock and xtreme is 24

problem with systems like that as well is every time you give it a squirt you attract attention from a long way away and people think your a dick lol....
