Do you mean Herrod or Harrop? If you mean Harrop I'd be keen as well. I did get some feedback from a forum member regarding Harrop a while ago (a GT vert) and he was very impressed.
Yes Sorry, Harrop (my poor typing skills)
It will be good to know who currently makes their exhausts

GT 350 Valance and Mufflers ....

Just had these installed GT 350 valance and Ford Performance sport mufflers ...and wow is all i can say the sound is perfect deep and throaty.
Before I fitted the system the car sound was biased to the front and dominated by the rousch CAI i have but now its more to the rear with the CAI sound audible in the the car under load.
There is no droning at all for me so

This is what I wanted on mine and your post has sealed the deal!! Where did you buy from if you don't mind me asking? Did you retain the factory suitcase resonator? Would love to hear a sound clip if you have one.

I've spent a lot of time recently watching various youtube videos (usually AM as they shoot with the same car and same angles) comparing all of the exhaust options and it seems like pretty much every catback exhaust for the GT is quite raspy and crackly at WOT. X-pipe is worse but H-pipe also creates a similar issue.

The only system i've come across that supplies a more organised exhaust note without the rasp/crackle/frapple at the top of the rev range is the Ford Racing by Borla sport axle back. Obviously this retains the factory resonator which is heavy and not as efficient.

Is there a system out there that does away with the factory resonator, improves volume and tone but doesn't have that raspy/crackly/frapple sound at the top of the rev range?

It sounds great, just wish there was a touch more volume! Might have to look at doing an axle back of some sort and have a resonator fitted separately.

Hi Spiller have you had the opportunity to hear the Borla exhausts live as the compressed online sounds aren't quite up to the true sound. If you are looking at axle backs and a reasonator then you might as well purchase a complete system.

Just a footnote re the chart that has been posted the Dba figures shown are not quite correct as it is our understanding that not all systems shown were tested in accordance of the ADR test procedure. Some figures were plucked from other sources. Re the ADR standard test, this is the same as that EU test procedure. The test procedure is at 3750rpm and includes a number of factors that must be in place. Some of the figures shown are not at the 3750rpm level. Any questions or if you need further information please contact us on 03 9553 6915. Email [email protected] We are an authorized BORLA distributor. Unfortunately misinformation gets posted online way too often.
