Something really weird I'm dealing with, had put my car in storage back in September. I just got it back out and the sound quality sucks! The front right speaker is crackling and just in general the sound quality is horrible all of a sudden. It was working fine before storage. The radio quality is better than the Bluetooth audio from my phone... The software is up to date too on both my phone (galaxy s26) and on my car too. Does anyone know what could be causing this and what can be done to fix it?

Any rodents in that area that could have chewed the wires? High humidity thst can cause corrosion?

Nope and nope, it was in a garage with a car cover. We do not have issues with rodents in our garage.

When my speaker started crackling, I just replaced it along with all the others as a nice weekend project. The front speakers are easy to do with basic tools and a plastic pry tool. There are many Youtube videos breaking it down. The rear speakers were the only difficulty because of the location of the screws right against the windshield. Just needed a tiny flat wrench to get to it and a bit of patience.

I ordered from Crutchfield since they have a nice compatibility tool to make sure you have all the things you need to make it easy.

I think you're experiencing Ford quality.
My lower front right speakers was replaced under warranty because it started crackling and ruined the sound.

Lol it seems like the same ones crapped out for me too. Now the question is if I should go with oem B&O or aftermarket

Replacing (almost) all speakers is quality wise for sure the better option, but much more effort.
