This may be a stupid question but what screws do you use to attach the rear license plate. Also, which holes

The car comes with a set of license plate screws. They should be in the glove box.

Make sure you put them into the correct holes. There are 2 dimples..... the dimples are for European style plates...

I believe I used #14 machine type SS screws that were pointed on the end. I know for sure the ones I used were Âľ in long.

I had them hold off putting holes in at the dealership with the factory screws so I could do it myself. Going to go with a size smaller and stainless steel plus put some 3m one sided foam tape on the plate itself to prevent any metal on paint contact

Yeah, don't do this... (dealer installed)
WTF was the prep guy thinking??? That sucks Steve.

Did you get the dealer to repair the damage to the cover?

Working on it. :)
That was exactly my fear for when i picked up the car, some clown in the service bay doing PDI as if this was a ford fiesta fleet car.

Good luck getting it sorted out with the dealership, hope it turns out well for you.

Someday I'll tell you all the whole story of the two cars Ford and its dealers sold to me (unless the outcome of my case prohibits it), but due to ongoing litigation, well, you know, I shouldn't spout off too much about it on the internet. I will say this, take a look at the sign on the floor and never visit there.

Ok thanks guys, I got it on with the supplied self tapping screws. I just wanted to double check before I did anything stupid. I did put the soft side of some stick on velcro on the back of the plate so the plate doesn't touch the paint. It worked out well, nice soft cushion between the painted bumper an the plate.

Thanks
