Insecure? Nah. If you hate plates like that, no worries, you're entitled to your opinion.

In my case, I normally don't even bother with custom plates. But my GT350 is a special car to me and I wanted a way to honor it. I couldn't think of something better than to have a plate with its name. So there's the back story. Most people don't even know what a GT350 is. They just see the car and think its a Mustang. So to 90% of the people who see my plate, the name means nothing. It only means something to me.
At least in our case, "GT350" or "Shelby" isn't already plastered across the back of the car, so adding it on the license plate or frame (hopefully not both) is way less redundant!

That's one thing I like about the car. It's not emblazoned with emblems or decals. It speaks for itself. It's fun when people squint at it wondering what it is.

Here's a company that will laser on the frame.

johnsonplastics.com/black-laserable-license-plate-frame

Product is stainless steel pwdercoat blk or bare stainless. I was thinking of doing track outlines & name of track. There is another co that has some already made in this fashion with some of the well known tracks but they didn't have the one's I was looking for.
