I don't know why you would leave it plugged in. Load the tune, throw it in the glovebox, forget it's there. It's an X4 so there really is no need to leave it connected unless you are data logging with it.

On my Shelby, I threw mine in the trunk. You dont need it until loading stock tune, or another tune.

This is really up to personal preference but the device doesn't need to be plugged in at all times. I'll load my tunes then throw it in the back seat. If you want to have it plugged in to monitor things that's another thing but with cell phones and other drivers I think it's a real distraction while driving. You'll find yourself doing pulls, monitoring temps. It's distracting! Throw it in the back!

No, when you flash a tune, the tuner is married to that specific car until its returned back to stock (unmarried). You can only marry the tuner to 5 different cars before it has to be sent back to SCT to be unlocked to use on more. Tell your friend to quit being a cheapskate. Lol

Lynx - Just as Juben had said once the vehicle is flashed it's then married to the vehicle until it's set back to stock. I wish we had the ability to have a trial tune/trial run. I've seen Euro Tuners do this before where you can run their tune for a few hours. If he wants to run a tune send him my way and I'll make him an offer he can't refuse!

Another +1 for Cobb. You can unmarry and marry as many times as you want!

i couldnt find a decent spot to mount it without distraction, even though they reduced the size of it, its still bulky.. just tune and put way.

I don't leave mine plugged up. When I had a '12 Charger Rt with a diablosport it would cycle on and off and drain your battery down over night.
