Does it cause any harm to the computer to reflash it multiple times? I am thinking about a twin turbo and having pump gas and race gas tunes. Do you always have to take it back to stock to load a new tune on SCT X4?

Multiple re flashes don't hurt it. As long as you have your stock file saved you do not have to take it back to stock each time.

It won't hurt the PCM as long as you have a battery charger connected to the car. I feel the majority of people's issues when tuning are forgetting to hook up a battery charger to their car. Drops in onboard battery voltage play havoc with software changes. My car has been flashed about 30-40 times over the last 5 years. Don't need to return to stock every time unless you change your tuning device.

This.

ALWAYS make sure your battery has a full charge when flashing....
