Water pumps don't last long on these cars tooWe typically recommend a new crank bolt and waterpump o-ring as well. Its usually a little more necessary for higher mileage cars but would not hurt in any situation for peace of mind.
Replaced my opg’s around 5k and it seemed evident my water pump was weeping. So I replaced it then. Thought that was BSWater pumps don't last long on these cars too
Same, although mine had about 35k on it at the time. I don't remember ever replacing one on a car pre-100k before...Replaced my opg’s around 5k and it seemed evident my water pump was weeping. So I replaced it then. Thought that was BS
My recommendation is use the stock crank bolt new.I have 8k miles on my car. So I am going to get boss tensioners and arp crank bolt. Does ford sell the water pump o ring separate?
