Anyones 5.0 sound like this at idle?

I know im a little crazy when it comes to certain noises and wondering if its normal or not, but does anyone elses 5.0 a6 sound like this at idle? As soon as i throttle it, its gone. Just a slight noise sounds like from the converter area? It doesnt ALWAYS make the sound either, but most of the time it does as soon as it returns to idle.

Mine does the same thing. After it's been driven for a little while and warms up, it's fine though.

My car makes the exact same noise, ive had the car a little over a year now and i still get the noise every so often. My car is a M6. i dont think it is an A6 specific issue.

the noise is only within the first few minutes while the car is cool. it warms up and the noise subsides.

i would love to know what it is also!

Well glad to hear I'm not the only one. Makes me a little less concerned now. I only have 3500 miles on it and I remember hearing it shortly after I bought it and started nit picking everything on the car haha. It was probably there since day one I just didn't notice it right away.

Seems like they all make this sound and it is normal. Fords have always been known to have a noisy valvetrain.

I don't believe my noise is from the valve train. I'm getting most of my noise from below right around the bell housing area.

Mine does this too but only on cold starts and until it warms up. Sounds like header tick to me.

Mine does the same thing 2016 A6..
The car sounds different from my 11 gt, idle and the ticks to be honest
