Anyone tried 2015-2017 replica headlights? Please post pics

So I want to paint the inside of my headlights on my 2020 GT350 black. It seems that nobody in Washington state, where I am, does that, but I found a guy on Intagram who does that professionally. The problem is that the guy is in different state and I don't have a personal garage space where I can take the entire front end apart, ship the headlights to him, wait a couple of weeks and then take the entire front end apart again to install it back. The car is also my daily driver, so I can't let it sit in some shop in pieces for that long either.

So, with that in mind, have anybody tried replica headlights? American Muscle has a set selling for around $600-$700 and on the promo images it's indistinguishable from the OEM ones. I could just buy the replicas, send them to the guy to paint and then install them over the OEM ones and be done with it.

A set of OEMs would cost north of $2k. If replicas looks identical, I don't see a reason to pay that much.

American Muscle for some weird reason doesn't have customer pictures of any of those replicas installed, so I can't even tell if they actually look the same as stock in real world.

Have you considered looking for headlights from wrecked 350s? Parts Farm has a few like this one.
Just a thought: Maybe you could take those apart, get that certain part painted and reassemble your stock lights with it. Might not be worth the trouble though.

I’ve never had success with replica headlights. Either the light projection was not to oe quality or the plastic parts broke. Me personally I’d like for oe ones from wrecked one.
