Just wanna make a quick note on one of your comments on the 2 types of bulbs. LED and HID are somewhat close in brightness when you compare the 2, however, HID do put out more lumens than the LEDs. The thing LEDs have over HID is the bulb life. LED bulbs typically last longer than HID, although, either of them both have a much longer bulb life over halogen anyway. In a perfect world you really shouldn't have to replace either if you install them on a car.
For sure LEDs should outlast HID, but I’ll take swapping bulbs every few years as a trade off for the superior visibility of HIDs.

I know the HIDs in my 16 and my previous 15 were far better than my wife’s 18 with LEDs.

Vertical cutoff is sharp, but the light is bluer than the stock HIDs. Visibility has been good in both normal night driving as well as rain so far.

I get a lot of people flashing their brights at me when I am on dim. I wonder how they feel when I flash them back?
