I been collecting parts for my build and recently started learning about MoTec.

I’ll be running a raceported 3.8 whipple (already in my garage), id17000, ARH Long Tubes, FORE triple pumps, livernoise heat exchanger, half shafts, and possibly a trunk mounted ice tank plus some 18”sv703 beadlocks with nitto 555r2s with the CF front wheels

My 99% plan is to run the smallest pulley possible with pump gas (~3.75”) most the time. My goal is a simple 850-900 at the wheels on pump gas, but I have ethanol all around me so it may make 1k when running ethanol. If I swap the pulley for the drag strip, it’s game on. I realize this HP is obtainable for way less cash, but I’m building this car right and cooling is super important to me. Plus I can and will turn it up from time to time. Lethal and PBD are in the 8s with this combo.

The MoTec gives me true flex fuel so I can put in whatever, which I feel is important for a street car and it also provides superior traction control to make all that power usable. Plus all the safety features would increase the engine survival rate from a hung injector (Steven Nestor), knock or any lean conditions/heat (stagmode). The 10k upfront sure seems cheaper than replacing the engine.

Just looking for input from those that have experienced it.

Check with the guys at Fathouse Performance. They know their Motec. They have a CFTP car with mods and Motec.

Not sure who all is running it but I believe Corbin Johnson at Johnson Tuning/Fathouse was the first or one of the first to have it on his tt 2020 500. Now they have it on the cftp car with the blower. Most of your experience is gonna be there.

Already knew your were gonna reference that. And again, good luck with 900 wheel & pump gas.
I'll take that as sincere best wishes. I honestly have no idea where this will end up, just hoping for the the most power while being safe and controllable. I don't want to land locking my car to E85 pumps, so pump gas ability is key. The flex fuel ability of the MoTec will be nice, knowing that if I'm traveling or low on gas and near a dino station, I can fill up and not have to worry about it.

All numbers referenced are pulled from PBD, they simply put out the most data. I'm making the assumption that with a Whipple will at least match the ported OEM supercharger on pump gas, 850-900rwhp. It may not, I don't give a shit, if I cared about max power I wouldn't be talking about a whipple on pump gas.

You should give a shit. I promise you when they take that 900 horse package to the dyno it already has ignite in the tank.

Man it's like arguing with a wall. I don't care about the final number, I just pulled the example off their vids. Where I live every other pump has E85 and the pump across from my work even has E99. I'm talking about a car with true flex fuel capability. I care far more about drivability than the final output on pump gas. When I want big numbers, I won't be running 91-93 octane. Reply however you want, I hit the ignore button.

Yeah that dude has issues.

My car is at PBD right now. I am heavily considering having a 900-950whp 93 pump tune up with the CX1300R.

For the OP, I would suggest you ask in the GT350 forums. Fathouse does a lot of work on those cars, I seriously considered taking my GT350 there for the 800 package before I found my 21. There are several people who have the Motec system with their turbo build.
