I would have removed enough of the harness tape to have some working room. I would have then striped about 1/2 inch of insulation from each end of that wire. I then would have added about 6 inches of same gauge wire to it, soldered and shrink wrapped, then taped it back into the harness.

You make a solid mechanical connection using the striped wire. All the solder does is keep continuity.

Yeah I soldered it poorly I think. Gave it a test drive and when shifting it’s like I lose power and it’s rough. Getting new codes P061B and P0812. Going to do what you said and strip it back, cut off my existing shitty solder, extend the wire and try again

Yes, add wire like @K4fxd said…don’t try and stretch things out, add a loop if needed. And if you didn’t buy the solder-seal connections (overnight from Amazon) then do it like this…

Think I fixed it, did what you suggested and no errors codes showing anymore. Hopefully it lasts. I just didn’t have the same gauge wire to use for lengthening/extending, so had to buy a slightely thicker gauge wire (3mm). Think it should be fine tho as the weak point would be the thinnest part not the thickest as far as my understanding goes
