Anyone keeping 18 inch wheel size?

Took off the 20" wheels and slapped on 18" wheels with winter rubber. I actually got more compliments with the smaller wheels. So now I'm thinking of selling the 20s and buying another wider set of 18s for the summer.

I never understand the idea of going larger than 18 or Max- 19 inch rims. Anyone keeping the stock 18 inch size and getting custom rims? If so can you post pics? I'm getting the 18 inch foundry rims and idont want to have to pay more for larger tires so should I change I'm keeping the same size.. Of course first I'm getting winter tires for next year ( mine won't be here until late March/April )

Ten years ago I was saying the same but the sizes were 17 and 18. I'm sure 10 years before that it was even 17s at max (on pony / muscle cars).

I'd go 18s if they fit over the brakes AND look good. Some wheels don't look good smaller, but some do. Some wheels look good with lots of tyre meat, most don't seem to, especially on this body (S550). Most styles I've seen on here look good in 19s, that's probably where I'd go.

I can understand personalizing your car, and wanting uniqueness or just a certain look, but it is Abbie Normal to me that the oversized wheels became popular on cars with sporting intentions.

Oh well, I also don't understand why the check out lady always asks me if I want the milk carton bagged but never has anything to say about the orange juice, and etcetera.

Would have gone to 18's on my PP if it was cost neutral versus the 19's.

Hitting a pothole and bending a rim may be another reason to go 18".
I have an EB on order with the pp and will evaluate ride quality then make the final decision.

My thought too. That's why I am happy that I got a free wheel and tire protection from my dealer. I have the EB PP with 19" but got right away a winter package with 18" from a local tire shop. The 19" set was much to expensive.

The 30" wheels are a joke and I am sure they don't have any comfort. I had 17" 100 spoke wheels on our white 2005 convertible and with the white and black leather seats we always got compliments for it. Sold it after 30 minutes the car was online.

Stock ride quality is excellent if you ask me.

I'll be ordering the Ecoboost Premium with the PP. I love everything about the Performance Package, except the 19" wheels. I plan to put the 18" wheels that come with the Premium on the car as soon as I can find a set from possibly swapping with another owner, or buying a set. My priority is ride comfort over performance and personally, I like the look of the 18" wheels over the 19s.

I will trade you the 18x8 wheels for your gloss black PP wheels! I should be picking up the Mustang next week

Damn really? I love the PP Wheels but wish they offered a non staggered set up.

I really like the look and size of the 18" Foundry wheels so I plan to keep them. For once I'll be happy with my stock wheels.
