Negative, next port of call is going to engine bay fuse box I think. I've moved the earth from above the accelerator to the bolts above the fuse box directly attached to the bodywork. That seems to have fixed the not turning back on problem after only being stopped for a few minutes.
Hmm... that's disappointing. Have an electrician friend assisting me in the install in the coming week. Will post here if we find any solution.

I contacted the UK distributor and explained the situation. They didn't have any idea but said that it's probably due to the wiring (i.e. us not wiring it correctly).

"As we cannot support installations here, I have included contact details for our recommended installers below. Hopefully they may be able to help, but if not please do not hesitate to get back in contact with us.

Stupid question - you have locked the car and walked away.. the system stays powered on for a few seconds after you get out for walk home lighting - is this causing the camera to stay on.

Nope, camera powers off immediately after stopping the engine

Haven't even installed it, still in the box. He's been very tied up with work. I'll post here when he gets a chance to help.

Actually my previous comment isn't strictly true.
Turn the engine off and the camera stays running, it only powers off when you open the door - that when i'm assuming all power is cut to aux devices.

Spoke to master mechanic this afternoon, the reason it isn't working in UK/EU cars is the enhanced security system on our cars. Immobiliser is shutting everything down, only way to get a perm live feed is goto the battery fuse box

So if you were to hardware to battery, how long would it take for it to drain the battery to where it wouldn't start? Hours, days, weeks? Once the novelty has worn off my car may not be driven for 2 weeks at a time. Don't want to come back to a flat battery.

What cameras only switch on when motion is detected?
I still want to fit a camera to my house but it's a mine field of different cameras.

The Thinkware F750 has inbuilt battery protection, you can see the voltage at which you want it to turn off at.
The blackvues require the powermagic thing to achieve the same result.

Only just getting around to doing the install today. Been a while... but here goes.

Will grab a multi-meter and 2 fusetaps and report back if I end up finding anything useful.

Just saw this... any idea on how to get the wires out and into the engine bay?

Pushing a wire through from the engine bay on a 2015 Mustang GT (RHD)

There is a rumour (possibly started by me) that if you remove the inside cover of the front passenger wheel well there is grommet and you can push a wire through.

The passenger side in the above case may well be the driver side for our RHD cars.

I have removed and replaced most of the dashboard trim around the drivers side (RHD).

If you need access to the interior fuse box then it is bitch as it would always be tight but for RHD the accelerator pedal is in the way.

If you get anywhere please let us know.

Thanks Actual. Will give it a try and update here if I get anywhere.

Yes I've found the fusebox etc. Also removed the panels around in order to hide the Ngauge wiring.

Need to see if there's a way to get this wired directly now (the dashcam).
