I've been keeping my eyes out, but so far, nothing stands out. Most are only useful when it starts to get dark and unless it was built into the car, a bit of an eye sore. However I believe it'll only be a matter of time.
pop up? It projects on the windshield. Seen one that sits on the dash with it's own screen, that looks terrible.
Higher end camaros get it and the need for speed mustang.
I didn't know it was part of the Need For Speed Mustang! (Are we calling that a 2014.5? lol)
I really hope some aftermarket guys come up with a way to do this where it's stealthy, seamless and sexy. They make the install look factory and I'll definitely sign up for a HUD. It's a fighter plane, why not?
I am a little sad the Camaro's get it, but it should be noted it's only on the 2SS trim (equivalent to our GT Premium)
And they do work in bright day light. I sat it one around high noon, in open sun, I could still very easily read it. I do wish it was available on Ford's, but I'll gladly take a Coyote wrapped in a sleek Mustang over a Camaro.
Yeah, in Camaros and other GM's it is fully integrated, with a cutout in the dash, and the ability to adjust where it is. In the Camaro you can switch between different pages, to show just MPH, Tach and MPH, G meter, etc. It's quite handy so you can look ahead on the road at all times and still have access to that information. Some people don't care, but I do wish it was available on Mustangs.
yeah i feel like we got robbed on that. the premium GT PP offers what is called a HUD as a safety feature. when told a HUD was a feature, i assumed it was going to be a dash on the windshield kind of thing. hope... its a bunch of red dots that pop up when you get to close to someone.
