Hey guys

I have moved to a new place and I don’t have a garage now. Planning to buy a car cover which will protect from heat and hails. Any recommendations?

What you ask for doesn't' really exist. Nothing is going to protect against hail or the Texas heat!

Dust will probably be your biggest nemesis though.

Haha thanks buddy. Appreciate your response. Ya it’s too hot in Texas and leather on the arm rest is turning white a bit.

Mine is from Sealskin. 5 layers and a 10 year warranty. Has straps to cinch the front and rear to keep it from blowing around. Maybe put some old quilts on first to help against hail.

I am moving to Colorado and have heard the hail gets out of control.

I have seen the above... but it looks absolutely ridiculous! I would only use it if im caught at work and need protection ASAP. Unsure with what route im going with at this point.

I like my Covercraft (I got the Noah with logo). Didn't help with hail, though, and I was even under a tree. :-(

The only way I would use a car cover is if I was storing it inside. Outside, you're just asking for buff marks from flapping in the wind plus having dust and grit ground into the paint near the edges.

My covercraft doesn't blow in the wind at all, it's form fitted for specific model. Plus they come with a nice backing on them. You can also get adjustable hold downs and the locking cable. I cover my SN95 convertible all winter with it.

My biggest problem is condensation. Even under a carport the car got wet. Forced me to clean out the shop and actually park in it.

I've always used car overs indoors and especially outdoors. Make sure it's layered and a custom fit. Purchased a Speedform custom fit for $159.99 and it's fine... machine washable is also a plus. I almost always wash car prior to using car cover but that's me.
