Any NJMP track junkies here?

I was told by the Porsche guy at my favorite local shop that there's lots of GT350s at New Jersey Motorsports Park and wondering if any of them/you are members here? I'm looking to get there a couple times this year. Always good to go when there's some experienced guys to learn from...

There is an event there tomorrow (Saturday) for Nasa HPDE. Go to spectate and see what's what.

I guess you could call NJMP my home track. I've done 13 days total there with my Cayman S in 2021 and BRZ in 2022 and 2023. The 2022 GT is my new to me car and I haven't tracked it yet. Most of the events I've done at NJMP have been PCA events with Riesentoter (Philadelphia) and Delaware chapters. I went back and looked at the PCA entry lists for these events and didn't find any GT350s. Not too surprising for a Porsche Club. There were a few Mustangs but no Shelbys. Thunderbolt at NJMP is one of my favorite tracks. Lightning not so much. I'm not sure which event sponsor would attract Shelbys. Hopefully you'll get more responses to your question.

FYI. Autointerests is holding their 2nd Pittrace (very nice track) HDPE over Labor Day weekend. That's the same weekend as the 2024 Boss Reunion at Pittrace. Not a Shelby event but there should be some nice Mustang's on track and show along with the 3 classes of HDPE cars.

I'll be at Thunderbolt on 4/8.

I've probably done 10-12 total days between Thunder/Lightning over the last 3 seasons.

EDIT: Just realized I responded to one of your threads last fall to meet up for track days this season. I think unfortunately 4/8 is sold out, but shoot me a PM, I'm sure I'll be there 2-3 more times this year (along with other tri-state tracks).

Not a GT350 but NJMP thunderbolt is one of my favorite tracks. They just repaved it for this season actually. I'm still planning out my season but I plan on making it down there. So far I'm hitting Pocono 6/15 with Track Night in America

Not a GT350 but NJMP thunderbolt is one of my favorite tracks. They just repaved it for this season actually. I'm still planning out my season but I plan on making it down there. So far I'm hitting Pocono 6/15 with Track Night in America

They repaved it... then a depraved modded BMW driver dropped a ton of fluid on it during the first day this weekend. The clean up crew was on it pretty quick.

They did do a nice job on the track.

This guy had the worst of it this weekend. I spoke to him at length. Nice guy. Definitely get track insurance if you go.

Yep. I had about a 1/100th of a second where I thought about saving the money but I just don't have the means to write off my car so I'll be getting the insurance.

I was just out there 2 weeks ago with PCA and it was a great time. There were 3 mustangs (my Mach 1, a fully track prepped gt, and a dark horse). Definitely planning on getting at least 2 more weekends out there this summer and likely a trip to lime rock.

Would be happy to meet up with more mustangs if the dates workout.
