Hoping I could find someone to help me with my audio install. I’d like to do what Mark at Car Audio Fabrications did here:

Mark doesn’t do much commission work so I’m looking to see if anyone has the skills and equipment to help me out.
If you think you’re up to the task let me know what your price is and we can work out details.
Thanks!

I do 3D cad design. But I use a professional shop for 3D printed parts. There are probably 3D print services close to you. You just need a STL or other 3D file of the part you want. Creating the part in CAD is where the work is.

Are you planning on using the power port location for the bass knob?

Yes, I think the cig lighter port is a great place and prevents any permanent damage to the carbon fiber panel I’ll be installing.
I have zero CAD design experience and don’t know anyone that does.

Have you given though to how you will work the knob with it being on the far right side? I have a DSP controller that is mounted in the middle between the USB and power port. I find this location is not the best, and think the far right would be worse. My suggestion would be to mount it on the panel in the middle but off to the side closer to the USB port. I believe you can clear out the plastic behind there to make room for the knob housing. If you mount it there, you can just drill a hole in the trim panel and mount the knob direct. I don't think you would need anything fancy like a 3D printed trim ring. But if you do, I can design whatever you want. Oops you said you don't want to modify your carbon fiber. Well think about what I said. Sit in the car and visualize or do a mock-up. What would be good for ergonomics and aesthetics.

The controller is more so for bass adjustment and equalizer settings. I won’t need to use it all the time as my stock wheel switches will still work as will the radio volume knob. It doesn’t need to be under my fingertips but at least within reach. I’ll look at it a bit more.

Here is the trim panel removed. You can remove the plastic here (if the space is big enough) and drill a hole in the trim panel that pops off.:

I don't know the size of the box behind the knob but you might be able to fit it here. I don't recall anything behind where the square I drew. But you will have to check. Ignore the other text and cut lines on the right. That was for someone else.

Definitely room if you pull the power port out.

I have seen other people mount this knob inside the center console. That might not be a very accessible area while driving.

Yeah I know for fact the power port has room once removed hence why I was interested in mounting it there. No hacking of the plastic (or cf) needed.
