I want to keep my factory head unit, and work from there. What do you think I can get done for around 3k total (installed from a shop). I would have no issue buying my own components as I know I can get them much cheaper than the shop will sell them for.

So lets go with that. I like the bass to hit hard, but be really tight. I am guessing I will end up with a JL sub again, but would like to see what everyone throws out there. Most powerful clearest system in that price range is what I am after. Thanks in advance!

i just did a system on a buddy's 2016. used all kicker speakers and amps.

retail would have been around 2300, I got him everything for under $1200.

doors....new tweeters.....rear deck speakers.... all kicker wiring and kicker 5 channel amp and single 12" sub.

KX series amp
KS series speakers.

it sounds WAY better than factory and didnt break the bank.

I also have the 400A system. I just had a JL Stealthbox installed in the trunk and a JL 600 watt sub amp under the drivers seat with a volume knob inside the center console. I'm so happy with it as is, I'm not going any further! Total stealth! Cost with labor was $1700.:coolphotos:

Sounds good guys. I'm Defitnely planning on taking it further though. I know I may get a little over 3k after installed. I was thinking something like focal or hertz 3 ways up front, and something similar in 2 way in the rear. Maybe a jl 900 5 channel amp with one jl sub. Again, not exactly that stuff, but along those lines.... Of course now there are sound processors and other things that I dont even know about that I will need.

They quoted me over 5k for a complete system upgrade to concert hall quality. With a pretty loud exhaust note, this upgrade sounds good to me! LOL. Good luck!
