I noticed the other day that the passenger footwell carpet didn’t want to lay flat. There was something obvious under the carpet. I finally got around to pulling it up near the center console and found a broken in nearly half, an Anti-theft Module bracket (dp5t-14c436-bx).
Does anyone know where this bracket is located? It’s a 22’ and would assume it’s the same location throughout the entire lineup.

That doesn’t ring a bell. But if you call your local ford dealer parts department and give them the number they can tell you where its located by the parts diagram the number pulls up. Most are decent and will probably email the pic to you, especially if you buy the replacement part from them.

Anti-theft Module? Wasn't that the stick shift over there? 😅

According to parts online #3 is the location for this part. Parts Online

Thank you. I’ve heard of people finding unusual items hidden under panels years down the road. Weird that this piece was under the carpet of the passenger footwell. Now I’ve gotta locate the module to see if it was installed or this bracket just somehow made its way into the front.

Or it could be a stolen recovery car that you ended up with. 🤷🏻‍♂️ (Unless you bought it brand new then disregard the thought).

Very possible. I guess they didn’t get very far if so. It had less than 100 miles on it when I became its new owner.
