Good evening...I'm about to pull the trigger on a 21 Antimatter Blue CFTP with a $7500 ADM. I really want a CFTP and based on what I've seen on this forum and other internet sites the $7500 doesn't seem out of line. Thoughts??? Thanks in advance

It depends on how badly you want it. $7500 isn't crazy. They won't negotiate down to $5000?

Antimatter is beautiful. I just bought a daily driver that is antimatter. It is spectacular.

I am going to dealer on Friday, we spoke on the phone and salesman didn't seemed taken back when I said 5k. The biggest issue I have is they have it advertised on the their website for sticker. I get ADM but I just feel that should be included in internet advertised price.

It doesn't work that way. Don't loose the car. If you try to negotiate too far down they will tell you to F off. However, no guts, no glory. So if you want the impossible deal and think you can hold them to some ad, you will be disappointed. I think if they were at 7.5K, it would be expected for you to come back with a 5K offer and seal the deal.

How you proceed is up to you.

I'm hoping to steal the deal at 5K but I feel like I need to start with ad price and go from there. Based on what I've seen 7.5 k isn't terrible and I feel 5k everyone wins. I'll keep you posted

just bought a 21 handling package that was listed with 10k ADM. I said I'll do 5k and they said ok. I said, now take it down to 2500, they said no, so I got it with 5k ADM. It's not like the show "the price is right" or anything. Keep throwing numbers out till you both agree on something.

Not sure where you’re located, but I found dealers in several parts of the country when I was looking everywhere for one that were at sticker. Some had add ons like LoJack, others didn’t. You can search cars.com, autotrader, etc. or go here to search Ford dealers. https://www.ford.com/dealerships/dealer-directory/browse-all/

Might pay to look around, unless you already have. We got really lucky and found one 15 miles from us with no ADM that when I first started looking nationally wasn’t listed then went back through locally and found the exact build we had on order.

i just recently tried for an antimatter CFTP posted here and when i looked for similar cars, the lowest ADM i found was 14k(checked with 9 dealers). that said, i didn't try negotiating, i was simply doing a quick comparison to the market. the ones with painted stripes were even higher...

You paid less ADM for a golden ticket than I did for a regular car. Congrats friend

When I was looking 4 weeks ago most CFTP’s I was looking at was $10k-20k over probably called about 30 or so. But did find a few lower. One with painted stripes for $5k and a couple vinyl stripes for $8k and $7500.

But once I found the color I was looking for and they agreed to $4k Adm I jumped on it. It was at end of month and it had sat on dealership floor for 2 months (at a $27k adm). So when I offered $4k and they agreed I was shocked. Right place at Right Time I guess

Since it was 9 hours away I ended up paying to have shipped to me instead of picking up.

So if you good with paying $7500 and its the color you want (Antimatter is a 1 year only color which is a plus) then offer $5k and if they dont take it buy at $7500. Cant hurt to atleast offer. But if you are really wanting a different color then keep looking if they dont take $5k. I think you can beat the $7500 specially getting closer to end of month and getting closer to winter.

Just my opinion. But either way you will get getting a heck of a car

As others have said, make them a lower offer to see if they will bite.

This is a great time (end of September) to make a low offer as we approach the end of the month and the end of a quarter. Dealerships have incentives for selling so many cars each month/Qtr, so they will often take much less on a single car that has been sitting to make more money in bonuses.

Honestly though if you have the income to buy a CFTP, if it is a 5k or 10k ADM it likely doesn't impact you very much. Not that anyone here seeks to waste money, but it doesn't move the needle in any appreciable way really. Get what you want man, our days are numbered on this earth.
