I had two suspicious dudes roll up beside me in a van last week when I drove my car to work. They just looked over, nodded and the only thing they said was "is that a stick or an auto". I mean maybe that were curious but that's never been the first thing I've had someone ask me when they see my car.

My insurance company told me that stick shifts are less likely to be stolen statistically but they charge more for sports cars with stick shifts because they assume it'll be driven, well, like a sports car. I was like, "yeah... you're right."

I've had people ask me that on the street, usually wanting to gauge if they should race me. Then I hear "wanna go from a dig brooooo?!" - meanwhile they're in a Dodge Ram with some flowmasters. Ug... :headbonk:

That said, I did actually run a Supercharged Land Rover Sport and JEEEZZUUSS those are fast.
