Gal.....Guy or gal?
Gal.....

My wife would offer herself to you to drive that car.I went the opposite route.... exhaust is already obnoxious being 3" so anonymity was already gone. Picking her up today, as the small details (mirrors, vents, etc.) needed to be finished up.
Damn that is sexyI traded in m '13 Focus ST in Tangerine Scream for a '16 EB Mustang in Competition Orange. No fear of color here.
I'm keeping the body clean, since the style on its own is so strong.
Lots of complements on the color.

under the hood, a different story
She is a bit brighter outside....
That shade of purple is a little light for a guy imo, but really is a pretty perfect shade for a girl's car.
That's a relief. I was gonna worry about a guy choosing that color. But you go!Gal.....
I am not a flashy, "look at me" kind of guy... I bought a 2016 DIB because I fell in love with the color... I almost bought ruby red. I have been trying to stay under the radar for a month now.... but it is nearly impossible. The first day I drove it to one of my client sites I had 4 people gathered around my work area within a half hour of arriving wanted to know more about the car and giving me tons of compliments. I am a self employed consultant and so I visit a lot of different businesses.....every time I take it out somehow they do the math in the parking lot and figure out it is my ride and want to know more. I have kids waving and looking at it while driving down the street and a mom in a van next to me pointing at it and having her kids look.... Just read the "breaking necks" forum on this site for story after story... It doesn't matter what color, v8, v6, ecoboost, coupe or convertible... this car gets attention because it just looks killer. There's enough room between complete anonymity and eyeball-searing "look at me" to fit a pretty capable muscle car. Even for exhaust mods there's room between stock and obnoxious/ear-bleeding.
You just have to understand that the saying "if some's good, more's better, and too much is just enough" doesn't know what it's talking about. Too much is simply too much, and even more is not always better. Wanting to be noticed less is kind of the 'sleeper' mentality, promising less than what can be delivered.

Yup:amen:this car gets attention because it just looks killer.
I don't worry to much about that because if you really pissed someone off regardless you'd be looking to make sure no ones coming for you.I just got done reading the Global Paint thread and it got me wondering...
I am leaning more and more towards getting a Mustang, again, and was fantasizing about how to wrap the hood, stripes etc. Then I thought. Maybe having a solid color is the better way to go... Plan Jane on the exterior.
The reason being that if/when I am "THAT guy", whoever I piss off won't be able to really pick me out of a so called line some other day.
My current yellow Focus ST... REALLY stands out :bolt:
Or am I the only one who thinks like this?
There are some crazy a-holes out there. Checkout youtube ;)Hate to be the dumb guy here but who are you afraid of? If the police don't care then there is no problem. I had a guy yesterday flip me off for no reason so I pulled up next to him, flip off back while grinning and revved my engine through the entire light. What's he gonna do? Be a jackass?
Wow what kind of car is that? It's hard to see!Do an Urban Camo wrap.
