I’ve got a 2018 GT Premium and it’s developed a very obnoxious problem with CarPlay.

If I go for a drive and use CarPlay by plugging the phone in with the cord and I don’t plug the phone in the next time I start it, the audio source defaults to AM radio. Not just AM radio, no it defaults to AM 530 which is just static. The car apparently forget the audio source after you turn it off.

Can I fix this problem with forscan? It’s getting very annoying turning the car on and being blasted with static then having to re-pair the phone, then change the audio source again.

Switch your source to fm before plugging into CarPlay and choose a station that isn’t static. It will default to that every time you’re not using CarPlay.

Okay cool, I’ll give that a try. Thank you! I never noticed when the car was a weekend car but now that it’s a daily it’s driving me mad.

Do you know if there is a way for it to default to Bluetooth or is it always radio?
