Android Auto Available yet?

So just to confirm, my base model GT will get Android Auto whenever I get Sync3? How will it work, via Sync apps?

No, .... if you have 2015 (which i assume since u are asking about MFT) there is nothing you can do....
2016 models came out with the new Ford sync3 (hardware, not software).
the Sync3 is replacing the old MFT based systems and is based on QNX.
it's a completely different hardware.
if you have 2015 and below with MFT hardware there is nothing you can do, you are stuck with what you have or have to upgrade the entire stereo...

Those who purchased 2016 got the new Sync3 with FIRMWARE version 1.0
the new 2017 models came with Sync3 with FIRMWARE version 2.0

Those with 2016 are waiting for FORD to release the 2.0 FIRMWARE upgrade to our stereo...

How are you getting sync 3? You have to have a Sync 3 head unit.

Yeah, but u have base model.... U most likely not to have the sync unless u added it but it comes with the premium package.... I u post a pic we can tell u what u have...
