Hey everyone,

Looking to buy ARH Direct connect 1-7/8 system, but would like to hear how it sounds first. Does anyone have this current setup that they could record? Would really appreciate it :):

ARH Direct connect 1-7/8 with high flow Cats bolted up to Ford Racing by Borla Touring Catback.

Thank you!!
Matt

A tad raspy, I liked the S types better with headers. I'm terrible at making videos, however fitment was on point.

Give us a shout if you have any questions!

Thanks Jay! I was thinking about going catless but Im mostly concerned with, if any, droning. I imagine the high flows would do a better job of controlling that?

Cats nowadays are very efficient. I'd say you'll see maybe a 2-3 decibel difference between Catted and uncatted.

Hi jayman33

I have Corsa Sport catback system, got it from you guys in fact, Shawn hooked me up and great service.

I plan to fit Kook LT's soon with green cats, will this effect the volume and tone of the exhaust?

I have PMAS CAI, Corsa sport CB, JDM tune and next step is headers. :)

Okay, Thats good to know. Im here in FL so we don't have emissions tests. One last question, Will catless headers have a strong smell of fuel when driving?

Mufflers will control the drone mostly. The tiny little bullet cats don't do much sound control.

I will be louder for sure, give it about 5-7 decibels higher in volume. Tone does stay about the same, especially with the cats.

And thank you for the kind words:)

Its actually not too bad however, if you're sitting in one place at idle for a good bit you will have the smell.

You won't hear your intake sucking anymore. Headers and getting rid of the stock cats make these cars a lot louder especially if your suitcase resonantor is gone as well. I can't hear my Pmas except for a second on cold starts other than that it's all headers.

Good to hear, I don't mind more volume, I just don't want the tone to change much or get too raspy.

UK Mustangs get bodged headers from the factory due to the RHD, so our cars are down 10-20BHP from factory, so the gains from headers on RHD cars are huge, basically we get that lose horsepower back along with the usual gains. :)

Think I shall go Kooks, ceramic coating with green cats, when they have RHD versions available as LHD headers do not fit.

Steering shaft being on that side must make that side a nightmare and the other side a piece of cake because hardly anything in the way. Tone will get higher pitched with the longer primaries but Kooks are more of a mid length so not as high pitched as some of the others.

Cool RHD headers means my only options are X-force, Streetfighter and soon to be Kooks.

What do people here think of Kooks, do they typically see good results and is quality good?

Kooks are top notch-great quality, sound, and fitment. Even the included hardware is great. I have 1 3/4 Kooks with green cats on my car and love them.
