Having had my GT for over a year and had some proper seat time in a Track pack GT350 last year, they're completely different beasts. The GT is a tad quicker around town, actually, because of the increased low-end torque below 3000 rpm. That said, it doesn't matter, because the GT350 is all character. The one I drove had about 3000 miles on it, so fully broken in. It is most definitely quicker and the sound and feeling when revving it out puts the GT to shame. I love the Coyote, but it's no Voodoo. This is not a car to buy if straight line performance is what you value most. This is a driver's car for those who go around corners fast. If I could afford one (I could, just not while being fiscally responsible), I'd have one.

FYI - it already has an X pipe, just also has two straight through resonators behind the X pipe that the R does not.

the way your driving it, the only comparison would be if you never let your GT go above 3400 rpm. your playing with 1 to 1.4 k usable rpm. Stock tune pretty soft below 3600.

FWIW anytime I have a sizable adult in the car or 3 or more people I notice a reduction in acceleration. I think the tall 1st gear, which will take you to 55, and the lower torque down low amplifies the sluggish feeling when carrying passengers.

Around town the car is docile but once you get to 6k and above along with The road getting curvy the cars personality really comes out. I like the dual personality as the car doesn't always feel "on".

If you are constantly stuck in urban areas and don't plan to take it out to the track or fun open roads than you may not get a chance to truly enjoy this machine.

I red line or shift my GTPP around 6500 all the time just for fun. The problem is not getting a speeding ticket, speed comes quickly, imagine even more so with GT350. GT definitely seems to fall IMO around 6000. CAI, dyno tune and FRPP track suspension were about to have trigger pulled on them... but all mods went on hold when I got allocation for GT350.

Again, maybe the ultimate issue is babying the test drive. I wanted to hammer it, but didn't. It only had 2.5 miles on it.

I'm...I mean we're going to need pics of that beast when you pick it up... that's the color combo I ordered, still sitting at the factory waiting to be shipped.

Thanks for everyone's feedback! I think you all confirmed my 5 minute impression isn't representative of experience.

For comparison, here's a pic of my GTPP. I'm pretty proud of it as I think it looks good. It breaks necks, thumbs ups non-stop, and is the best toy car I've ever owned. Each stang has been a step up... except for my little stint with EB (daily driver) and 50th (wrong car for me). I've just started hitting the point in my life where I can afford a car like the GT350, or a Vette, etc., so a car of this caliber is new to me.

That said, I need an F-150 for work and it is nice to have in winter and everyday things. I've only got one garage spot, so it's one or the other. The Shelby wheels are coming off and original PP ones going back on during the trade in.

Beautiful car man. The Shelby, even more so. Keep us updated!

So, my order arrived really late today (G5137). Looks good in Magnetic. Dealer was able to take out of transport mode and have it in the detail shop so they can get to it for first thing in the morning.

Bless them, they let me take it on a 4 mile loop (no twisties on it unfortunately) knowing I might still not go through with purchase. As many cars as I buy from them, and this one is likely next tomorrow, I think it was fair though.

Ok, here's what 4 miles was like to me:

1. Exhaust in Sport Mode, suspension in Sport mode, more sport car feel than GT, but actually felt similar to my GT, just louder.
2. Louder than my Coyote with Roush on inside, but not that much, nothing an X-pipe added to my exhaust wouldn't change quickly.
3. Power didn't feel that much more than stock Coyote, granted due to "break-in" period I didn't take it above 5K rpms, but know torque should already be there at 3500. Does the insanity everyone talks about come later? I was honestly disappointed up to that point. Another problem, I usually drive my GT alone mostly, the test drive had my wife and nearly full grown daughter in back. That probably added 300lbs from my normal.
4. Transmission.... way better!
5. Honestly, I could barely hear a difference in sound profile between the Voodoo and Coyote with Roush inside it, just sounded like a more aggressive exhaust on Coyote as I mentioned before. Was trying to hear that "exotic" noise, but not sure I could. Outside, I hear some differences, but again we didn't rev it too many times and not above 4K. Part of wanting this car was hearing special noises compared to others. What do others think? Does this engine sound that much different than Coyote in your opinions?

I'm supposed to sign tomorrow morning, I'm having some second thoughts as I love my GT w/PP and now wondering if this car is double $$ better than what's sitting in my driveway. Of course, might help to see it without bird crap and dirt all over it.

Appreciate any feedback anyone wants to offer, especially if you came from an S550 GT prior to GT350.

Are you crazy, a magnetic track pack out of the box it is a street legal race
car. Read some posts, look at the dyno graphs not to mention the motor gets
better, looser after break in. Of course the attention the car receives is a whole different matter and it is fun to drive 2nd gear from 3500 revs on hold on to your hat,

I hope you come to your senses and buy it, it wil be your loss.;););)

Doesn't look like a PP. Wheels? Cant see the brakes so don't know if you have aftermarket wheels on as they are not listed in your description. Either way, I traded my 15 GT/PP for my GT350 without test driving it. Didn't need to! So many much more experienced drivers had already gone on about the car for months before the release. Apples to apples, these too cars are really not comparable as they fill to very different performance benchmarks. Listen to everyone that has written on this threads about the car. I will not add about the capabilities of this car as it has already been said several times over.

have any other hobbies? I suggest not buying this car
