Here's my GT350 dyno run compared to a Coyote dyno run (post this frequently, because it is a good illustration of how the Voodoo makes its power and therefore how you might expect it to feel on the street and track).
A couple things stand out:
1. Below 3500 RPM, the torque on the Voodoo is similar to the Coyote, but at 3000-3500 there is that dip and large jump in torque that is noticeable by the seat of the pants. Above 3500 the Voodoo has a bit more torque at times, but in general the Coyote and Voodoo have very similar torque down low and very similar gearing, so the general feel will therefore also be very similar.
2. It isn't until 5500 RPM that the Voodoo really starts to make more power than the Coyote.
3. Because the Voodoo makes its power with RPM, not torque, it will feel similar to the GT in daily driving (at least in the straights).
I test drove a GT/PP and found it too soft and found the rear end to be disconnected from the front.
The GT350 in "normal" mode has a similar feel to me, but in "sport" mode the GT350 really feels buttoned down. In "track" mode the GT350 is very stiff, maybe too stiff for most streets, but it works very well on track.
So, I guess I'm not surprised that the GT350 feels similar to your GT in a straight line when you are not hard on the gas and winding out the engine. In the corners I think you'd notice a difference when in sport mode, and the Recaro seats and other interior bits give it a nice feel that is a little different from the GT.
Your GT is beautiful, BTW, and the black with tinted windows and nice wheels really do make it menacing. I do think the front end of the GT350 is tough to beat though, and maybe with similar tint it will match your GT in terms of aggressiveness.
