i feel dumb at this point my car is still as it was when i brought her home from dealer 3.1 miles on car , all i have been able to do with car so far is sit in it
and check things out .until michigan weather gets better i noticed that my line loc. option is grey not blue
i have followed the steps car is level wheel straight in forward gear and not in wet mode ETC.
but when i goto track apps its always grey and will not let me choose it
any insight would be great i'm stumped
Thanks

Did you turn off traction control and set your mode to track mode?

You need to be in track mode, and doing so will automatically turn off traction control.

Ah, you have an automatic. I don't believe line lock and launch control are available with automatic transmissions.

Line lock is there. I haven't used it but I was messing with it at a stop light the other day and got it to the "charging" portion where you push the break hard.

I don't think the actual drive mode matters either. It un-grays as long as you're less than like 5-10 mph. I was surprised it was light up when I was rolling slowly.

Anyway, are you sure your car isn't in transport mode or whatever it's called?

Incorrect. Launch Control is not available with the A/T because all it is is a rev limiter for dumping the clutch, but Line Lock is available.

it locks out line lock selection until the engine gets to warm up a bit

That's all you're supposed to do. It's a Mustang. Putting miles on it just hits the resale value. If you wanted to go somewhere, you should have gotten a Honda.

Sorry, read the title and all I could think was "Yes, there should be an "e" in there".

sandbagger, you have to have it in drive or sport drive before line loc will function. Sitting in park in the garage will not allow line loc to engage because it recognizes transmission selection.
