I'm thinking you want to lean toward the 3.31's instead of the 3.55's with the MT82. smokinzx14r just toasted his clutches in his rear. I hear the Torsion wont hold up to hard drag launched but not sure if I have heard of anyone blowin one out. Im in the same situation as you.
Yea definitely want at least 331's,i think i rather have the track loc for the strip, the torsion is holding up well buts the clutch paks can be replaced pretty easily for some upgraded ones. The shift into 5th is killing me,just not sure if i want 331 or 315 yet lol.

What about on a stock powered car that does absolutely no hard launches from a dig?

I'm thinking of going with an aluminum diff when I change out the gears in my car since it's mostly a road race application that will remain stock powered. Is there a decent amount of weight savings?
A bit of weight savings but you are moving your weight balance forward on an already front heavy car.

Well yeah, but that's not the only thing I'm doing as far as weight savings. There will be some stuff taken out of the front of the car also including moving some weight from the front to the rear eg. battery relocation to the trunk area.
