If I didn't work and drive around Washington D.C., I would do some springs. But I definitely need the suspension height and travel for these roads.
I run GT350R springs on my daily driver in an area with bad roads and haven't had an issue, the drop makes the car look much better but will not make much difference over stock ride height in clearance. Also, the GT350R springs will make the car handle significantly better. If you do want to keep the stock ride height, I believe the non-R GT350 springs will be very close to the ride height of the stock performance pack springs while not being as harsh as the R springs. I would definitely look into the non-R GT350 springs if I wanted to keep the factory ride height but improve performance. I think the ride would be pretty good with the non-R springs for a daily driver, I don't even think the R springs are bad for a daily driver. I believe the non-R springs are 194/lbs front while the R are 240/lbs.

But it'll reward you every time you drive the car.
Agree 100%. A better suspension makes these cars much more fun to drive.

I've never spent this much on mods before. Sure, $1800 (with labor) isn't a lot compared to what other folks spend, but it's a chunk for just suspension.
I bet you'll wish you could have opted for this setup as a RPO, even if it came from Ford with the full $1800 price tag that it's costing you now.

RPO??? I recognize that acronym, but don't remember what it meant. Regular Production Office/Order or something?

What I hope to end up with, is a suspension that is what Ford should have done from the factory. Having adjustability is a bonus.

The PP springs will work just fine. Again, I need all the suspension travel and ride-height, I can't sacrifice any. Plus I like the standard ride-height.

Regular Production Order. As opposed to COPO (Chevy, that I know of), which meant Central Office Production Order and involved something different in the ordering process.

Exactly, and since Ford has done shock adjustability at least once within recent memory there's no absolute reason for damper and/or sta-bar adjustabilities to be off the RPO table either.

Sounds like you've got a similar goal in mind for your S550 to what I've been chasing for my S197.

Well, my Stop The Hop kit and shock mounts are back-ordered.

Wish I would have been made aware of that when I was ordering. I got my hopes up I'd have everything installed next Monday.

It might be too late but as far as vertical links go, I recommend the polyurethane versions to the delrin or spherical options. Some compliance in the vertical link bushings is a good thing for compliance. Sphericals if your goal is drag racing. For grand touring, road course, etc., polyurethane is the way to go. BMR or Steeda take your pick.

Everything should be off back order in a couple of days related to the stop the hop kit.
We apologize for the delay.
