All seasons or winter tires?

So I live in Little Rock, Ar. I know we're a southern state, but we had a lot of storms and a lot of snow on the ground (for us) last year.

I've pre-ordered some MRR M350s in a square set up (shout out to Paul from N4SM who is AWESOME!) and by the time they get here, summer will be pretty much over and my Pirellis will be pretty much shot. Damn line-lock. Do you guys think it would be worth getting winter tires? Or should I just throw on some cheap A/S and drive slow?

I also haven't decided if I'll put the new wheels on or not until next spring. If it does snow a lot I dont want to risk messing them up.

What do you guys think?

well here is the question how much snow do you get ?

Winter tires 100% if you get a good amount of powder on the ground, if not then A/S can work in all conditions and a few inches of snow it can work in as well.

But def decide if your going to have them on the road during the winter or due to deciding the tire sizes brotha.

Also remember road salt is not your friend ever ! except for melting snow and ice. lol

As anal as mustang people are about keeping there cars clean, I doubt road salt will cause many of us issues.

I am debating the same thing for when my Pirellis crap out. I had some Michelin A/S3's last year and they were horrible in light snow in a Mazdaspeed 3. On the other hand my Mazda Tribute got around perfectly on some Goodyear Assurance triple treads in the exact same conditions.

Last winter we got a lot more than normal. There was snow on the ground for probably 3 weeks all together, and on the roads for maybe week all together. I dont think we ever got more than 4 or so inches at a time. Plus my job lets me work from home when the weather is bad so I dont have to get out in it.

Plus my girlfriend has a 06 Esclipse with FWD which I'd probably use instead of mine, of obvious reasons ;)

Whats the smallest you'd put on the M350s and the PP wheels?

FWIW, a winter tire is going to be much better in the snow, much better on icy roads, much better on cold wet roads and much better on cold dry roads compared to an All Season.

you need Summer Only tires March to November.

all seasons December - February. You dont get enough snow to get full winter tires, but it gets cold enough to not run summer tires in the winter.

You just have to be prepared for the random 10 inch snow storm and plan on just staying home that day.
