Michael, I put polish and wax on the stripes from time to time. I cover up the matte edges with painters tape and wax/polish the car and stripes. Not anymore difficult than without stripes. The wax of polish always brings out a deeper black as well.

I'm thinking of getting ignot silver roush side and hood scopes for my black mustang with wheel and stripe package since it comes with mandatory silver side stripes and I would like to add a little more silver to the car to complete the look. Can any pro photoshopers help me put silver side and hood scoops on a black mustang? thanks

Thanks !

But do you mean the whole stripes, or just the matte part ? Would glossy stripes (whole setup) be just easier to detail, just like without any, or does the no wax/polish rule apply to any type of stripes ?

Thanks !

You can wax over gloss stripes.

Does waxing over gloss stripes:
- extend their life
- no change
- shorten their life

I'm guessing the no wax on matte is because where wax gets on matte finishes, it adds gloss. Just curious how wax affects stripes, especially the edges that curl up after many years.

Thanks Chris your the man! How about another pic from side and front view and you will be superman :p

Jokes aside, can anyone give me opinions on the look? As I've said before, my car will also have silver side stripe and aluminum wheels to add to the silver scoop.

Edit: NVM no need to do this or give opinions...its FUGLY :(

I will give you my opinion.
First I never liked the looked of the Roush brake scoops - until I see them on your black Stang. Before, they contrast with any non-black color, but in a bad way, IMO. It says (to me) "Look at me, I'm a race car on the street!" But then a Roush Stage 1 is just cosmetics anyway. With your black car, this is no longer a problem. It looks menacing in a good way.

And the hood scoop is pretty cool.

Personally I also don't care for the side scoops. 1) they are non-functional and everybody knows it. 2) While they were okay for older Stangs, they just don't work with the newer flowing lines of the S550. So I would keep the front end and hood scoop, but ditch the side scoops. And the silver color also looks tacky. IMO!

Hi I was wondering if you can photoshop this steeds spoiler onto my S550. Along with these wheels, 35% tint, tinting the lights, andlowering it an inch. If this is possible it will be great!! Thanks! I appreciate it!

I need to learn my way around the forum. I guess it would be better on a computer than an ipad!
