All lights turn off while uploading tune

I’m having a problem with my Sct BDX where the car turns off all the power while the tune is being written, I know that the start button light should be on during this process. The lights dont come back until after it completes downloading the Tune to the car, another thing according to my tuner the updates he’s making aren’t going through after it downloads

anyone know a way to fix this or if you know what can be the problem

Im pretty sure mine cycles power on its on during the download process but I may be wrong

if it was me i would make sure to have a trickle charger hooked up before flashing the tune.

Mine turns off the lights when uploading sct. But then comes on and says clearing codes. Then complete.

This is normal when flashing certain modules in a vehicle and I know PCM is definitely one of them after working at a ford dealer before. As previously mentioned make sure you have a trickle charger or something hooked up to the battery JUST IN CASE as it could brick the module if it fails or can’t complete mid update/flash.

When I would tune my 2017 it would always go completely black while writing the tune. If it's your first tune from stock or re writing to atock always have a charger hooked up because it can take awhile. If it's a revision ro a current tune it can be done about 5 mins. I used to to mine at the gas station when switching between tunes for the weekend or my normal daily work commute

yes it cycles through all the on/off instruction, and says programming complete at the end

And this is with the light on the power button being off? There are times where the light stays green while downloading the tune to the car, but most of the time the car completely shut off all power while downloading.
