I came to the US a few months ago... So I'm new in many senses, but more specifically in the Mustang family. I have owned lot of bikes and cars (new and classics) and forums like this one are amazing places where to share and learn.

But I'm somehow disappointed with the competitiveness that i see between the three models... I remember that the first day, after driving the first 20 miles i was about to share a nice pic... And following the typical discussion I finished by start thinking that I made a really bad choice.... Even worse, i had a rental car.

I love the balance of my V6, but i wish it was easy to tune as an EB, or had a V8 sound... Among many other things. But among all, what I see in my garage, what I enjoy washing and what I drive looks and feels as a Mustang.

Enjoy

The tracks aren't open for most yet, most people are pissy they can't stretch the cars legs;)
I personally think All 3 are great cars. I do agree about the model bashing its about the worst ive seen on any car forum I've been on.

Exactly! A new car is the 2d biggest purchase most will make (after their home) and HIGHLY personal. To each their own. I think it's great that there are so many choices and anyone can have pretty much THE Mustang they want/need.

Just like driving on a freeway during rush hour, 90-95% of the people agree with you but are more or less silent. The vocal 5-10% like to jump lanes, slam on brakes, and nay-say choices. Ignore it and enjoy your Mustang!

You just have to ignore it. A car is a lot of money and people feel the need to justify their purchase. Unfortunately a lot of people do that by bashing on other models.

If you ever need a cure just go drive the car. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I personally think a base model v6 is a LOT faster and nicer than most cars on the road today. The naysayers are probably driving Corollas or base model 328i's. Which are nothing special

I've been on all three sides of the spectrum, first I had a 2013 v6 premium manual performance package and people thought the car was badass until I said it had a v6 then they would go "oh" or "i'm sorry" like really?

Then I decided I couldn't be happy with it, sold it for a sweet price and BARELY took a hit trading it for a 2013 5.0 premium manual and it was a blast, sounded awesome but I don't street race or drive like the typical mustang douche, I daily drive the thing and do tons of city driving and averaging 15 mpgs and filling up $45 every 5 days was getting real annoying, it wasn't even from the money perspective but I was driving such a beast daily and even when I got on it, it still didn't justify the gas I was paying and I started to develop a hatred for it and then sold it, I realized I was just doing it for the "Status" and yeah I loved the car but it didn't fit my needs.

Now I have a turbo 4 and I've gotten ridiculous comments like "does your car even have enough torque to move 315s" or "what? they put a shitty 4 banger in mustangs now? woooow"

PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT and I've learned that the hard way sometimes, I will get tons of shit for driving a turbo 4 mustang but I dont care what people have to say, it's fast and gets awesome gas plus it's sexy. Let them talk all they want and how a mustang should only be a v8, they're not true car enthusiasts they're just ignorant people compensating for something.

Guess the solution is having one of each ;)

I have to confess that I was one of those surprised about seeing a turbo 4 in a Mustang... But someone explained me that it's not the first time it happens.

Spending some days in Miami Beach now, and I have to say that it's the nicest convertible in the beach... No matter which engine.

Engine doesn't matter. As long as you are happy with it. Though I do hope they offer the V6 in the '16 in premium trim.
