Its tough when I don't have a lot of mustang friends that looked into suspension like I did. They all went to power.

Ha yeah, I was the opposite and started off with suspension because it felt like crap to me from factory...also changing the shifter. Only power mod I have right now is the FRPP power pack 2

I've got an airaid intake, magnaflow exhaust. I went straight to suspension. And yes, i've got 3/4 of the bushings in. Just wasn't able to get the lower bushing rings in. Shits tough on jackstands.

Yeah the collars are the toughest part, I don't remember if there was a trick or not to sliding the U around. I just remember alot of grease, crying, and stabbing myself.

Oof. Sounds like a kinky time. lol I mean, i'm currently not having trouble with wheel hop at the moment. I'd just wanna get the alignment kit and finish those bushings. Then I've still got plenty of steeda parts to put in. IRS braces, K-member brace, Trans bushings(may upgrade to the throughbolt) sway bars and endlinks and then I've got an MGW shifter to put in.

yeah you pretty much have everything I installed too. I just finished installing FRPP track handling kit and definitely a huge improvement - not quite where I want it yet, but I got some Steeda endlinks, and bumpsteer coming. MGW upgrade was great, however the shifting still isn't amazing, I even did the bg fluid swap.

I may do a Tremec swap later down the road though... MGW nonetheless is a good shifter and I enjoy it; install was ok, hopefully you have small forearms and arms if you're gonna do it on jackstands. At some point I had to lay under my car with a ratchet strap to pull the trans down enough to get this stupid bolt in/out, other than that it wasn't too bad.

I may have a shop that knows MGWs do it, cause i'd rather not. I'm a big dude with big arms. and bad back.

yeah good move, it gets claustrophobic down there doing those kinda installs on jack stands.

That's not good for me either lmfao I've been on a navy carrier, and even then i'd have my moments on deployment.

My firestone turned me away and said they don't do custom specs, only specs aligned to your VIN :/
Lies. Find another location. My firestone told me they would not install custom suspension, but they had no issues putting my steeda parts in alignment. My printout even reads "mustang with custom suspension".

Thanks that's good to know - does lifetime alignment apply at every firestone? I've only gone to the one so I have no idea.

Every firestone, but not all are created equally. The one I use did a good job keeping my 05 focus stock suspension up to snuff (even after 175k miles). As such I trust them a bit more than most.
