I was searching the forum and have not seen anything about it. Was wondering if anyone has cut the 2 side sections out of the grill. Maybe open the airflow up a little bit. Anyone have information on this?

I took a sharp razor blade to the inner honey comb parts of the grill where the factory air inlet was for the intake.
Just outline the honeycomb a few times and take a screwdriver and hammer to the center of the blocked honeycomb. They'll pop through.
It looks clean as well.

I can't remember the exact results. I'm running a completely different setup now. But it did help drop IAT's after sitting in traffic a bit quicker.
I commented about this on a thread in the v6 section a while back if you could dig it up.
I believe i posted results there.

Nope, no specific IAT results. But there's a picture

Swiss Cheese Grille Mode

I couldn't have all the folks with GT grilles have all the fun! Unfortunately, the V6/Ecoboost grilles are constructed differently, so its much harder to perform the Grille delete mod.

I compromised, and performed the Swiss Cheese Grille Mod since I was also concerned about the aero and debris. Heck, with the popularity of the grille delete kits, maybe I'm being too cautious.

I used the existing "dimples" as guides. I then used progressively larger drill bits to get to the size I wanted.
