Hello Everyone,

Not sure if the cold intake was changed out when Ford added the Roush package to my motor? I'm guessing not, but I'm uncertain of the exact replacement air filter my car needs. It came with what I assume is a "dry" filter, but there are different sizes out there and this one is pretty big. Anyone have a recommendation, part# etc.? Thanks.

Yes, that's the Roush CAI. Factory unit is quite different. That appears to be an "oiled" filter.

Thanks for the comeback. Do you have any recommendation on a good place to order from so I get an exact match? Thanks.

You don't replace it.

It's washable. You remove it, wash it, let it dry completely, then put it back.

Exactly……

Is it more efficient and cost effective? Absolutely! But a long time ago in a galaxy far away, I over oiled the clean filter and caused MAF issues. I now just spend the money to buy new filters every time. The caveat would be a dry filter and the use of an air compressor though, haven't tried that yet. Also, if you have 2 filters, you can swap and allow months for the cleaned one to dry or oil to settle in or whatever the filter oil does lol.

Took the filter out to get a part number. Says Roush right on it but the number is totally different than the part number on the Roush website from the link you sent. Also it only lists it good for up to 2019 pony’s. Probably doesn’t matter because I also noticed when you hit their menu to input a model year, it doesn’t go past 2019 either. I guess Roush needs to update their site!

OP needs to double check to see if his filter is dry or oiled. If dry he can use the video I posted. If oiled the kit you recommend will do the trick. Either way he doesn't need to spend almost $100 on a new filter.
I did noticed when I took it out to get the part number it does indeed say “Dry”
Thanks.

I assumed all "red" filters were oiled filters?
