its funny, when i look at the schosche i wish it didnt have the bulge. the metra is basically the schoosche minus the bulge, and to me it looks too plain. cant wait to see some good pics of them in actual cars.

Well I wasn't too happy with the Metra kit and I ended up canceling the order from abt.com I did not want to be the guinea pig lol ordered the scosche kit hopefully I get it in a week. I have my new Kenwood dnx893 waiting to be installed.

Well i got my scosche kit saturday and installed it sunday. I had my doubts at first but once everything is installed its freaking amazing. The fit is amazing, pictures dont do it justice. It looks plain but it feels right at home with everything else. The install of the kit was really easy. Hardest part was taking out the oem dash. Getting the clips behind the stock stereo were a freaking bitch to take out.

The only cutting involved is just the plastic behind the screen that holds up the black module. I would suggest investing in a Dremel if you don't have one already. I made the cut in less than 5 minutes. Very easy.

Yes you do permanent modifications but it's just hold up that black module. If you ever wanted to go back to stock you can just fit the module behind everything and it it would still work.

That's not too bad really. Does the bezel help with reflection or anything? JUst kind of curious why they made it like that.

Dose the scosche kit work with the cars mic and sync ? I looked at metra and and the instructions said it will use sync ?

Just called my wholesaler. Obviously the Metra kit isn't shipping yet but they have 500 on order. He said the price will most likely come down once it arrives, but my preliminary price.... I could do a group buy for $375 plus shipping. This is for the 995838CH kit, if anyone is interested.
