They prob have a separate car audio and consumer products page. The people that want an iPod mount could care less about a car installation kit...

MSRP will be $600, give it a little bit and you will be able to find it for $3-400 bucks. That being said, even at $600 plus another $4-500 for a quality AA/CarPlay unit is still $3-400 cheaper than swapping a Sync 3 system for base cars.

Plus having 4v pre outs for the amp are pretty important.

Looks pretty clean too. Picture is a tad small but the Heating/Cooling screen looks nice.

$600 for what?! A small screen, some harnesses, and plastic? F that. Guess I'm waiting for oem.
The tooling for that bezel probably cost $10k being made over in china. Pretry good return on investment once they sell 20-30 of them. Gone are the ways of buying a $150 head unit that does everything you'd want it to (well except tweeting and all that new fangled stuff).

I got mine for $500 from X0AYHAM0X and pretty happy with it. It has Sync 3 UI for a nice OEM look(which I like).

I had the 11-14 scosche kit in my last stang and it worked well. Been waiting for this to drop, cant wait to run a real head unit. This solves so many problems. I haven't even bothered with the system yet bc of the hassle. OEM is nothing to aspire to in these cars, I couldn't care less.

Did the kit in your last mustang have the glitches that all the ones for the S550 seem to have/had. Just curious if Scosche is a quality brand?

I'm completely with you on this. Even if it were cheaper to go the OEM SYNC3 route (which it isn't once you figure that you need aftermarket sound processing, which ironically gets rid of many of the advantages of remaining 'stock'), I'd much rather have the ability to have a better aftermarket HU that provides me the features and performance I want from my system
For those who say that this unit is too expensive, yes, their unit 'profit' is huge, but don't forget that it's not like the old days where you just bought a mounting kit and simple wire harness: there's real R&D that goes into these that needs to get paid for as well.
I've already dropped a few grand into getting a stealth box, amps, high quality speakers, etc.... so to me, putting on another 2k to have a high end pioneer unit installed and tuned makes perfect sense

Dont forget guys, once this drops I should be able to get a group buy together pretty easily. There should be a pretty decent discount for at least 10 of these.
