Yeh....Got my Ford Struts from Amazon too.....Best Price and shipping.
CJPP is slightly cheaper once you apply the forum discount. Not sure about shipping though as I didn't buy them alone. I know they only added $3 to shipping of what I was already buying.

If you're buying them by themselves, its about $AUD15-20 cheaper on Amazon, even with the CJPP code.

Not surprising. Their shipping is on the high side so it seems to only makes sense if you're combining items.

Yeah CJPP postage is just too expensive even with the discount code.

PostMate is your friend when shipping from the USA. Most suppliers will have free freight in country so there's no extra domestic shipping costs.

Also, you can ask for no invoice to be included and most suppliers have no issue with this as they're not declaring an export value. You declare the value through the Shopmate site. On arrival to Australia sometimes you may be asked to provide an invoice. Of course I always provide the true value if it's over A$1000 :)

The difference is in the bonnet bracket. The non-domestic is shorter to only fit our mustangs with the active bonnet release thing. Everything else is the same in the kits.
I unfortunately ordered the domestic one - whilst they fit and it all works, it is not perfect so have since ordered just the proper brackets from Redline direct.

Hi all, I'm a little confused re hood struts. I am thinking of getting the Ford Performance struts (m-16826-ma from amazon as)
- they are only $80
- they have nice ford branding

I can see the battery on the AU S550 is on the otherside to the US.

Can someone help answer for me:

- Isnthe Ford Performance struts ok?
- Do the US ones for the AU cars ok(noting the battery cutout directions have to be taken into consideration.
- Is it worth paying for the many more expensive (ie at least double) other kits from Steeda etc?

thanks guys.
i have these installed on mine, don't forget to rerun your window washer pipe or the hood struts will crush it when you close the bonnet, ended up spending $70 for new OEM washer line ;)

Wow that is false advertising. The image shows the brand X struts attaching closer to the hood hinge along the bottom line which is the fender than the Redline.
Every single brand hood strut for the S550 Mustang has brackets that bolt into the factory holes in the fender that Ford designed into the car. Way to go.
